Caribou River Cottages is situated on the scenic shore of the Northumberland Strait. Only 5 minutes from the PEI Ferry and minutes from Beaches, Parks, Trails and the town of Pictou.

The Halifax International Airport is within 90 minutes and in less than 2 hours you can get to Halifax, Cape Breton or New Brunswick.

From Halifax (Airport) take the exit to Truro. At Truro take Highway 104 to New Glasgow. From Highway 104 take Exit 22 for Pictou. At the Pictou Rotary take Exit Rte.6 West to Amherst. Not Rte.6 East (into Pictou). Stay on Rte.6 for 5 km and turn right into the Three Brook Rd., drive again 5 km and turn left into the Shore Rd. After the metal bridge, we are located on the left hand side before the wooden bridge.

Coming from Amherst. Stay on the Sunrise trail Rte.6, pass Tatamagouche, River John, Tony River. 5 minutes after you have passed Tony River you will see a sign Shore Rd. Turn left onto Shore Rd. drive for 5 km, go over the wooden bridge and the Caribou River Cottages is on your right hand side.

From the PEI Ferry, after you come of the dock turn left and go to the stop sign. Make a right turn onto the Three Brook Rd., drive for 3 minutes and turn right onto the Shore Rd. After two minutes you will see Caribou River Cottages on the left hand side.
